Mr Oliver Templeton-Ward is a consultant trauma and orthopaedic surgeon specialising exclusively in knee surgery. His practice covers complex reconstructive surgery for sports injuries as well as the latest joint preservation techniques for both early and established knee arthritis. Mr Templeton-Ward has been fellowship trained in partial and total knee replacement surgery including patient matched and robotic assisted total knee replacement and revision knee replacement. He has a subspecialist interest clinic in patellofemoral instability and anterior knee pain. Mr Templeton-Ward’s NHS practice is based at the Royal Surrey County Hospital where he also provides a tertiary referral service for complex multi-ligament injury of the knee and is regularly referred patients from around the region by other knee surgeons.
Mr Templeton-Ward attended Nottingham University Medical School and his surgical and orthopaedic training was carried out in London and the South East of England. Following this he carried out 15 months of subspecialist knee fellowship training. Initially under Mr Neil Bradley at RSCH where he was trained in partial, total and revision knee replacement surgery and then in Sydney, Australia on the internationally recognised and highly sought after fellowship with Dr David Wood, President of the Australian Knee Society. This fellowship covered complex multi-ligament reconstruction surgery and patellofemoral instability.
Mr Templeton-Ward has prepared medico-legal reports for solicitors and the Police since 2005. He has also appeared in court as an expert witness on behalf of the prosecution. Mr Templeton-Ward has consulted patients involved in personal injury claims and over the last 5 years has prepared on average between 300 and 500 reports a year.

Mr Templeton-Ward has published in peer-reviewed journals and presented at over 20 national and international meetings on many aspects of trauma and orthopaedics. He is an Advanced Trauma and Life Support instructor teaching regularly throughout the UK.
Mr Templeton-Ward has good availability. He is regularly instructed to provide expert evidence and runs his medico-legal practice on Thursdays at the BMI Mount Alvernia Hospital in Guildford. Mr Templeton-Ward can see defendants, claimants, appellants etc face to face or via online assessments.
