Profile

Dr Okon-Rocha is an experienced consultant general adult psychiatrist with a background in rehabilitation and liaison psychiatry.  She has a wide-ranging experience in management of a broad range of general adult psychiatric disorders. She currently holds a post of a consultant general adult in a high-dependency rehabilitation unit at the Cygnet Churchill Hospital, London as well as a post of a consultant liaison psychiatrist in two liaison clinics, namely the Limb Reconstruction Orthopaedic and Chronic Facial Pain Clinic at King’s College Hospital/South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. She is on the GMC specialist register and performs voluntary work for the Royal College of Psychiatrists.

Experience of giving evidence

Dr Okon-Rocha has experience of providing expert reports in civil and criminal proceedings. She is comfortable giving oral evidence in court.

Dr Okon-Rocha has good availability. She has dedicated one day a week for her medico-legal work. She is also available in the evenings.

September 1995 – MD (equivalent of MB BS) – Medical University of Lublin, Poland/Erasmus MC, Rotterdam

January 2000 – PLAB exam (Professional and Linguistic and Assessment Board) – General Medical Council, London

May 2004 – Master of Science in Mental Health Studies, MSC with distinction – King’s College London (General Psychiatry, Psychodynamic, CBT modules)

May 2005 – MRCPsych (Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists), approved under Section 12(2) of the Mental Health Act

March 2011 – CCT (Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training) in General Adult Psychiatry with endorsements in Rehabilitation Psychiatry and Liaison Psychiatry

Current – Specialist Register of GMC and accredited as Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry, Rehabilitation Psychiatry and Liaison Psychiatry.
