Experience of giving evidence
Dr Mohammed has experience of providing written and oral evidence in Magistrates’ Court, Crown Court, the First-tier Tribunal (Mental Health), and for the Parole Board. He is approved by the Secretary of State as having special experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorder, and is thus able to make recommendations on sentencing options under the Mental Health Act 1983. His expert reports make complicated subjects easy to understand and this translates to his style of oral evidence, where he speaks accurately and concisely.
Dr Mohammed is able to provide expert psychiatric reports in the following types of cases:
- Fitness to plead and stand trial
- Issues at criminal trial including capacity to form intent, insanity, automatism and diminished responsibility

Dr Mohammed has good availability and dedicates time to his medicolegal practice each week. He is able to travel to carry out assessments in and around London, and can carry out assessments nationwide with the use of telepsychiatry.
