Dr Laura Longstaff is an experienced GP who has a wealth of experience working in a variety of settings. Following completion of her GP training in 2010 she worked as an NHS GP locum for 18 months before settling in practice in Thirsk, North Yorkshire. She combines her work as an NHS Partner with work in an NHS ‘Out of Hours’ Service and private online GP work.
Laura is a certified coil and implant fitter and has a specialist interest in Womens’ Health. She is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne and leads on medical education within her surgery, hosting Medical Students, Physicians’ Associate Students and GP Registrars. She has experience of working as a GP within the prison service.
Laura has been conducting medicolegal work since 2015 branching into medical negligence since 2017. Her plethora of experience and roles enhances her ability to write informed reports reflective of UK General Practice.
