Dr Shaffiullha has more than 17 years experience in the field of psychiatry. He also has a case load of approximately 900 patients directly under his supervision and 900 extra patients that he provides cover in the team. Dr Shaffiullha deals with more than 60 patients a week on an average as a part of his job. He regularly reviews the entire spectrum of General Adult psychiatry including Forensic patients, Brain injury individuals, Mild Learning disability and neuropsychiatry patients.

Dr Shaffiullha also regularly prepares medico legal reports for a variety of Courts and other Tribunals.

  • I was the second author for an article Health issues in persons with Down Syndrome’ that was published in Journal of Disability and Oral Health (2008)’ 9/3 113-120.
  • I was the third author for the article ‘Shopping Addiction’ published in Advances in Psychiatry Treatment 2012, 18 (4). My main contribution in this article was to describe psychiatric morbidity, clinical features in Shopping Addiction and also to prepare multiple choice questions.


Dr Shaffiullha prefers to undertake remote assessments and in complex cases I also face to face appointments and prison visits.
