Dr Nadim Siddiqui is a psychologist conducting private therapy for couples, family or independent parties. Dr Siddiqui has worked in several NHS Psychological Services Departments in the North West (Oldham, Ashton, Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber Mental Health NHS Foundation).

Dr Siddiqui now works entirely in Private practice, location need not be a barrier, due to the ability to use video conferencing. The type of therapy Dr Siddiqui specialise is is Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) of several varieties.

Dr Siddiqui currently prepares Expert Witness Reports for a wide variety of civil, criminal, marital, immigration, mental capacity, personal injury and other matters. These reports are often for use in court cases and tribunals. I do appear in courts and tribunals regularly.

Experience of giving evidence

Dr Siddiqui has started doing psychological reports for use in courts in 2006, mainly for private companies e.g. The Psychology Service. Since being in private practice (2015) he has done reports directly for solicitors, referral agencies and private clients/ companies. This has involved him giving evidence in court and tribunals in various parts of the UK.

Specialist assessments offered

  • Non-verbal intelligence testing (suitable for people with little or no command of English language. Standard Intelligence testing (e.g. WAIS) is often readily attackable.
  • General psychological state (e.g. Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar Disorder, Autism, ADHD, Psychosis, Personality Disorders. Really any mental disorder listed in Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders-DSM-V or World Health Organisation- International Statistical Classification of Diseases ICD-11). These type of assessments can only be meaningfully done by HCPC registered Practitioner Psychologists not just BPS (academic) Chartered Psychologists. Practice base is better as it deals with the real world, not just an academic perspective. Triangulation with supportive psychometrics where available.

Availability

Dr Siddiqui has good availability to undertake both video and face to face assessments. He is able to complete the report within 14 working days from the assessment.
