Profile

Dr Salah Breidi is a toxicologist, and acted as an expert witness at the United Kingdom High Court, Family courts, County Court, Magistrate courts, tribunals etc. Dr Breidi has investigated and reported thousands of toxicology cases of forensic toxicology investigations. He have written several papers, presented and published abstracts and oral presentations in the UK and internationally about my research in the field of Forensic Toxicology and Forensic Analysis and specifically on methods of chemical analysis by various forensic analytical chemical techniques. Dr Breidi have also presented my research at national and international conferences and meeting around the world.

Dr Breidi was awarded on October 2014 a certificate of completion from the Justice Rapid Response (JRR) in conjunction with the International Association of Forensic Sciences (IAFS). This was to increase the pool of forensic experts that can be rapidly available to the international community and regularly assists States, the United Nations system, as well as other international institutions such as the International Criminal Court (ICC) that have the jurisdiction to carry out investigations into such crimes.

Dr Breidi has lead, reviewed and prepared more than 10 thousand toxicological cases Including, Drug and Alcohol (Hair, Nails, blood, urine and oral fluid), Medical, Poisoning, Metal Poisoning, Steroids, Antidoping, Post-mortem and Chemicals exposure cases for adults, children and infants.

I have written several papers, presented and published abstracts and oral presentations in the UK and internationally about my research in the field of Toxicology and Forensic Analysis and specifically on methods of drugs in human sample analysis by various forensic analytical chemical techniques.

Experience of giving evidence

With a record of more than 10 thousand toxicology case and expert statements, Dr Breidi has given oral evidence on numerous occasions. In his day to day practice, Dr Breidi is familiar with giving evidence courts and tribunals. Dr Breidi is a toxicologist, and acted as an expert witness at criminal, civil and Family proceedings such as the United Kingdom High Court, Family courts, County Court, Magistrate courts, tribunals etc.

As a practising toxicologist he is used to giving his expert opinion about family proceedings under the Criminal Procedure Rules, r 16.2; Criminal Justice Act 1967, s.9 and Criminal Procedure Rules, r.27.2; Criminal Justice Act 1967, s. 9, Magistrates Courts Act 1980, s.5B, Standards for Expert Witnesses in Children Proceedings in the Family Court Practice Direction 25B.

Dr Breidi is comfortable in his ability to speak in public and his ability to speak clearly.
