Dr Armstrong specialist field is clinical health psychology and she provides expert evidence in civil injury cases. She also works clinically in the assessment and treatment of physical and mental health conditions, including chronic pain, traumatic injury, cancer, stroke rehabilitation, weight management, mood disorders, disability, anxiety, and loss.

Dr Armstrong is an experienced practitioner health psychologist offering therapy, consultancy, and training independently across NHS, universities, and private sectors.

Currently working as the principal psychologist in a NHS cancer psychology service and privately in pain psychology.

Experience of giving evidence

Undertaking expert witness work for two years, she specialises in adult personal injury related to road traffic accidents and the effects of health conditions, particularly chronic pain, on clients. Produced over 150 expert witness reports for the court and undertaken specific associated training.

Dr Armstrong is able to undertake both face-to-face and remote assessments. She will require 4-6 weeks from instruction to produce her report. Dr Armstrong dedicates a few days a month to her medicolegal work.
