Profile

Miss Laura Oxby is an Advanced Occupational Therapist based in the West Midlands.  She has extensive experience as an Occupational Therapist working in the field of physical disability and mental health across the NHS, local authority and the independent sector.

As an NHS Occupational Therapist, Laura has experience working within Acute medicine, Urgent care/A&E and within the community. Laura currently works as a clinical lead within an integrated community rehabilitation service currently which involves working with adults with a very wide variety of disabilities within their home environment. This work includes the recommendation for specialised equipment and major housing adaptations; manual handling assessments, assessment and delivery of complex rehabilitation programmes and training for both families and statutory carers.  Laura also has experience working within private sector and local authority services in the provision of specialist therapy intervention in the areas of learning difficulties, sensory deficit, mental health and personality disorder including community and secure forensic settings.

Laura has extensive and varied experience in report writing and complex case management along with her skills in leadership and management within the NHS. Laura has attended further training with on managing conflict, the management of complaints and clinical incidents and has completed recent training on Life coaching skills and Motivational interviewing along with Bond Solon accredited training.
