Experience of giving evidence

I have extensive experience of producing high quality, complex reports to tight deadlines, with instruction from solicitors in London and nationwide.  My areas of expertise are Human Rights Act/Immigration and Impact of Removal assessments.  Because I am currently still practicing as a social worker, my reports are of a very high standard and demonstrate my highly developed legal knowledge and an understanding of current practice, policies and procedures within adult social care and psychiatric social work.

Cases undertaken

I have substantial experience in carrying out holistic, legally sound and thorough assessments for clients, including adult mental health, older adults, and forensic.  I am also specialist in working with immigration cases.  My expertise are in providing Social Care Needs assessments for the above client groups includes Care Act Needs Assessments, and Human Rights Act/Impact Of Removal assessments for immigration cases.  These are either because a local authority has completed an assessment, and there is a dispute or challenge over the decision, or there is no local authority involvement and an initial assessment is required.  In addition, I have 18 years experience in working within local authority social care and NHS Trust, and I am familiar with the Care Act, Safeguarding and other statutory policies and procedures.  I am a warranted Approved Mental Health Act Professional (AMHP) currently employed by Camden Council, and have significant experience in producing Mental Health Review Tribunal Reports, Social Circumstances Reports, and Section 117 Aftercare Needs Assessments. I am also highly proficient in completing Health and Social Care Needs Assessments, and Continuing Care Act assessments.  I am also a qualified Registered Intermediary for the Ministry of Justice, providing communication assessments to vulnerable witnesses with mental health needs.  I currently work as a Best Interest Assessor conducting Best Interest Assessments.
