Professor Rogers is a Consultant Orthopaedic and Trauma Surgeon, specialising in lower limb, consulting in Surrey and Sussex since 2012. His clinical and academic interests include hip and knee replacement, trauma, and sports injuries.  A graduate of University of Oxford (Christ Church), St George’s Hospital Medical School (University of London), UCL, University of Portsmouth and undertaken dual fellowships in trauma and elective orthopaedic surgery at University of Toronto.  He was awarded his PhD in 2017 with thesis entitled “Optimising the Outcomes of Hip and Knee Replacements”.

He is an Honorary Clinical Professor at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (University of Sussex).  Professor Rogers has roles as Editor-in-Chief of Annals of Royal College of Surgeons of England, and deputy clinical director of the NIHR CRN in Kent, Surrey & Sussex.

He is also a fully qualified GP (non-practicing) and Bond Solon trained.

Experience of giving evidence

Professor Rogers has provided personal injury reports to the Courts, and various tribunal and appeal panels and is typically instructed in around 100 matters per year.
